ReplyDeleteIf you desperately want to write stories, then don't let being a "terrible writer" get you down. I don't think there is any such thing as a good writer or a bad writer... there are just writers. And writers need to write, whether they're the next J.K. Rowling or not.
If you really want to improve your writing skills, just keep writing. It's great to have a blog (one of the best things I did for my writing was get a blog), so that you can write whatever you want and develop your voice. Or get a journal, and write stories or whatever strikes your fancy. You don't even have to show it to anyone. Gradually your writing will grow.
But if you have a story inside of you, don't wait until you're a "good writer." Writers learn from writing, so write!
